That small coffee shop in Portland changed how I budget

I was grabbing a $6 latte every morning near my job site in Portland. Then I saw the barista ring up the owner's personal drink for free and realized how much markup goes into every cup. Has anyone else cut little daily habits and saw real savings add up?

Cutting one latte a day is maybe $50 a month, not exactly life changing money. Unless you're buying multiple expensive coffees or other daily treats, the savings are pretty small. People make a bigger deal out of this than it actually is.

That $50 adds up to $600 a year though.
