Showerthought: I nearly threw out the $18 envelope system from a yard sale in Reno
Picked up a beat-up cash envelope wallet for $18 at a yard sale in Reno back in March, mostly as a joke since I do everything on my phone. Six weeks of stuffing $60 into groceries and $40 into gas each Friday showed me I actually spend less when the money is paper I can count. Has anyone kept an old-school system like this going for more than a few months, or does it fall apart once bills hit?
