Pro tip: Meal planning with leftovers seriously reduced my grocery spend
Okay, so I was basically donating my paycheck to the trash can with all the food I was tossing. Started forcing myself to plan meals based on what's already in the fridge, which is a thrilling game of 'will this cheese kill me?' Sundays are for giant soup pots now, and it covers lunches for days. Even set up a compost bin for scraps, which my landlord side-eyes but whatever. Knocked a solid thirty bucks off my grocery tab every month. Honestly, it's nice not feeling guilty about waste. What are your go-to moves for keeping food from going bad?

Man, that "will this cheese kill me?" game is too real. I used to just chuck anything that looked iffy without a second thought. But seeing how much you saved made me try actually planning meals around what's about to go bad. My move now is to chop up all my veggies on Sunday and keep them in glass containers, so they're ready to use. What kind of soups do you usually make on Sundays?

Last Sunday, I tried a potato leek soup recipe from my grandma. Ended up using way too much pepper and had to eat it with a loaf of bread just to cope.

Ever notice how cooking mistakes always need bread to fix?
