Overheard my coworker bragging about her meal prep and it hit different
Tuesday in the break room, this woman from accounting was telling someone she only spends $38 a week on groceries because she cooks one big batch of chili and freezes it in single portions. I do the same thing with a big pot of lentil soup on Sundays, costs me about $22 at the Farm Fresh on Broad Street, and I never thought of it as a win. But hearing her say it out loud made me realize how much I save by not grabbing lunch out. Has anyone else had that moment where someone else's casual comment made your own budget trick feel more legit?
