I finally stopped wasting money on those expensive protein bars

Was spending like $45 a week at Trader Joe's on their peanut butter protein bars. Decided to try making my own with oats, peanut butter, and honey from a recipe on BudgetBytes. Saved $28 last month alone and they taste way better. Has anyone else found a good homemade alternative for those overpriced convenience snacks?

Used to think homemade stuff would never be as good as store bought. Finally tried making my own granola bars with peanut butter and dark chocolate chips and it changed my mind completely. The texture is way better and I control exactly how much sugar goes in. Now I make a batch every Sunday and it lasts the whole week for about eight bucks.

Wait, eight bucks for a whole week of granola bars? That's ridiculous in the best way.
