I bought a 'budget' food processor that cost me more in the end
Found a cheap one online for $25 and thought I was so smart. It broke after two uses trying to chop carrots. Had to buy a proper one for $80 anyway. So I basically threw that first $25 right in the trash. Felt like a real genius move. Anyone else have a story about a cheap buy that just wasted your cash?

Check the warranty on that cheap one. Sometimes they'll replace it even if it's junk, and you can at least give the new one away. It's a small way to salvage something from the mistake.

Warranties on those super cheap things are usually a joke. They make you pay for shipping to send it back, which costs more than the thing did. You end up spending another $15 just to get a second piece of junk in the mail.
