Honestly that tracks, zero based makes you plan instead of just look back.

Totally agree with that! I tried zero based for my personal budget last year and it was a game changer. It made me actually think about where every dollar was going instead of just guessing. I had to plan for things like car repairs and gifts instead of being surprised. Felt way more in control by the end of the month.
