Had to switch my grocery store after 8 years of overspending

I used to just grab whatever was on sale at the big chain store near my house, but last month I noticed my monthly food bill hit $680. I started going to Aldi instead and now I'm down to $430 a month for the same stuff. Anyone else make a switch like this and see a big difference?

Switched to Aldi myself about 2 years ago. The real kicker for me was realizing I wasn't just saving money, I was eating better. They don't have all the fancy processed junk with flashy boxes, so my cart ends up being mostly fresh stuff. Also helps that the store layout makes you walk less so you grab less impulse stuff. Saving $250 a month is no joke, good move.

Two hundred fifty dollars a month? That is mind boggling.
