Finally paid off my credit card that I'd been carrying since 2021

I had about 4,200 dollars on a Chase card from a transmission job that went sideways on a customer's truck. Every month I just paid the minimum like an idiot and watched the interest pile up. Last week I finally sent the last payment and it feels like a weight off my shoulders. How did you guys stay motivated when you were staring down a big balance for months?

Dude, the "watched the interest pile up" part hit me hard. I did the exact same thing on a store card for a laptop, just paying the minimum for like a year. Felt amazing to finally kill it though, congrats!

Takes forever to realize the minimum is just a trap that keeps you stuck.
