Bought a cheap tire inflator for $25. It just broke.

Got it for my car to save on gas station air. Used it maybe four times. The hose connector snapped off this morning. Now I'm out the cash and still need air. Anyone know a decent brand that actually lasts?

Is it that big of a deal though? Sounds like you got what you paid for. Just go to the gas station.

Saw a report last year where a lab tested fuel from those discount pumps. Some samples had 20% less octane than advertised. That's not just weak gas, it can mess with engine timing over time. My neighbor's truck started knocking after a few months of using the cheap stuff. The repair bill was more than he ever saved.

Wait, you're telling me that cheap discount gas can actually have 20% less octane than what it says on the pump? That's wild, I always figured it was just slightly lower quality, not that big of a difference. Makes me want to steer clear of those no-name stations for sure.
