Vent: that "book direct to save money" tip cost me $80 more in Nashville
Everyone parrots this like it's gospel, but when I called the motel in Nashville directly last month they quoted me $139 a night while the app showed $99 for the same Tuesday. Has anyone actually saved money going direct, or is this just something travel blogs keep copying from each other?
