TIL you can book flights in incognito mode and save real cash

So I was booking a trip to Phoenix last month and kept seeing the same flight jump $40 every time I checked it. A buddy who works at the airport told me to open a private browser window before searching. I tried it and found the same flight for $60 less, no joke. Has anyone else noticed airlines hiking prices based on your search history?

Sixty bucks less is wild, I almost don't believe that actually works.

Mason, that is hard to swallow. I would have to see it myself before I could believe a setup like that saves sixty bucks.
