My uncle swore I'd save $200 a month by booking flights on Tuesdays, but after 6 months of tracking, I actually lost $80 because the deals never matched my route from Austin.
He swears by the old Tuesday booking trick from his travel agent days, but when I tried it for family trips to Denver, the cheapest flights always popped up on Thursdays instead - anyone else find that hack totally busted?

Did you check Southwest's direct site though? Their sales skip third-party calendars.
