My $40 travel towel was either a genius buy or a total waste, what do you think?

I spent $40 on a quick dry travel towel for a week in Thailand, and while it saved space and dried fast, it felt like sandpaper and I missed my normal towel's softness.

Sandpaper feeling" is a deal breaker for me. Used to want the space saving, but comfort wins every time.

Honestly, that sandpaper feel is the worst. I had one of those and it was like drying off with a gym floor mat. The space saving is cool, but if you're cringing every time you get out of the shower, what's the point. I'd rather just pack a smaller normal towel that actually feels good. That forty bucks could have gotten a really nice meal instead.
