I finally tried a local bus pass in Lisbon instead of taxis
Cost about 30 euros for a week and it got me everywhere, even to Sintra. Anyone have other cheap transit tips for European cities?

The 72 hour ticket in Vienna covers all trams, buses, and the subway network for one price. It even includes the airport train, which is normally a separate expensive ticket. I saved so much just by not buying single fares to Schonbrunn Palace and back.

Oh totally, and the best part nobody mentions is you can hop on and off the Danube river boats too with that same ticket. I mean, it's not a huge money saver but seeing the city from the water is such a nice break from all the walking (and your feet will thank you).
