Hostel switch in Barcelona turned my trip around
I booked a 12-bed dorm in Barcelona for 28 euros a night near La Rambla and it was so loud I couldn't sleep. After two nights I moved to a smaller 6-bed place in Gracia for 32 euros and the difference was huge. That extra 4 euros got me better location rules and actual quiet hours. Has anyone else found that paying just a little more for a better hostel zone is worth it?

Save your 4 euros, buy earplugs and a sleep mask instead.

Wait, do you really think 4 euros is nothing though? I get that earplugs and a sleep mask are useful, but for me a small purchase like a coffee or a little treat can actually make a rough day way better. Saving a couple bucks is smart sometimes, but I feel like we overthink every tiny expense and miss out on just enjoying life a bit. It's not like buying one coffee is gonna wreck your budget, you know?
