Got stranded at Dublin Airport for 12 hours and learned a cheap trick

I was stuck in Terminal 1 after a missed connection and realized the airport lounges sell day passes for way less than I thought - €35 got me unlimited snacks, wifi, and a quiet place to nap. Has anyone else found a good lounge deal that saved their trip?

oh totally, my friend Sarah had something like that happen. she was stuck in Charles de Gaulle for like 8 hours on a layover and found a lounge that sold a 3 hour pass for like 25 bucks. she said it was worth it just for the clean bathrooms and free croissants. she even managed to get a quick shower in before her next flight.
