A hostel owner in Dublin told me I was packing all wrong and now I fit everything in a 30L bag

Honestly, "packing all wrong" is code for rolling clothes instead of folding them.

Rolling clothes to pack is a complete waste of time, everyone knows folding flat is the only real way. Ive tried rolling a few times and my shirts always end up looking like crumpled napkins after an hour in the suitcase. Plus rolling takes up way more space in the middle of the bag somehow. Folding lets you stack everything tight against the sides and you can actually fit a whole extra pair of shoes. Rolling is just a thing people do to feel fancy about packing but its not practical at all.
