The plant stand I built from scrap wood took me 6 weekends, not 1 afternoon

Wow, this hits so close to home! I swear every DIY project I've ever tackled takes about four times longer than the internet says it will. Last year I tried to re-caulk my bathtub after watching a 5 minute video, and let me tell you, that little weekend job turned into a two week saga involving a razor blade, four different caulk removers, and a very patient neighbor holding a flashlight. It's like there's this whole parallel universe where time moves slower the minute you pick up a tool. But honestly, I've started to think the real victory isn't the finished stand, it's the six weekends of figuring out which screw goes where and convincing yourself that crooked shelf adds character. Your plant stand probably has more soul than anything you could've bought in a store anyway.
