That $12 thrift store espresso maker actually pulls better shots than my $300 one
Picked up a rusty La Pavoni at Goodwill near Portland for $12, spent about an hour cleaning the gaskets with vinegar and it works like a dream. My Breville from 2021 has been sitting unused for two weeks now because the old one makes crema that's honestly richer. Anyone else had a cheap find outperform their pricey gear? Thrift store finds beat fancy gear ALL the time, my $8 garage sale French press makes better coffee than my sister's $200 machine.
