Scored a $4 paisley lamp at a church rummage sale in Dayton last Saturday and my reading corner looks like a hotel now
The lady running the table said nobody wanted it because of a wobbly base, but ten minutes with a felt pad and it sits perfectly, so what tiny fix turned your cheapest thrift find into the fanciest corner of your place?
My best save was a brass candlestick with a bent bottom I got for a dollar, and a quick bend back by hand made it stand straight enough for the mantel. Small stuff like that is why I always check the base first now, since a cheap fix beats passing up a good piece. What did you use to clean up the paisley pattern on yours?
