My Great-Grandpa's Trowel Has a Hidden Mark, Looked It Up, Nearly Dropped It
Found a tiny number stamped under the handle of my great-grandpa's old trowel this weekend. Looked it up online at midnight. Turns out it was from a specific Ohio brickyard, made in 1921, and only 40 of that exact pattern were listed in a collector's archive. My dad used it for 30 years thinking it was junk. Has anyone else ever checked the markings on old tools and gotten a surprise like that?
