Levels off by a quarter inch on a wall in Denver last spring
I was laying a retaining wall behind a house in Denver when a rainstorm hit halfway through. The ground shifted under my base layer and threw the whole thing off before I could set the cap. Has anyone else had to tear out a fresh wall and start over because of weather?

Bet the rain didn't settle your base evenly before you set the wall.

My buddy Jim once poured a slab after a three-day drizzle and ended up with a corner that looked like a gentle wave. Rose Young might have nailed it there - uneven bases can really mess with your level after the rain hits.
