I laughed at the laser level for 2 weeks, now I wont set a corner without it
After fighting a wet mortar line on a windy day in Tulsa, I borrowed my foreman's rotary laser and squared up a 40 foot wall in under 10 minutes, has anyone else made the switch from string lines to lasers on residential work?
That windy day in Tulsa is exactly why I switched, string lines are a losing battle once the wind picks up. Just make sure you check your laser against a known square first thing every morning, they can drift on you.
