Heads up: stop buttering the joint on gray block before you bed it
I keep seeing guys slather mortar on the face of gray block before laying it, and on a job in Gary last month that cost us 40 minutes chipping hardened mud off the wall face. Butter the head joint only after the block is set and lined up, not before. Anyone else's crew still doing it the old way?
