Found a cheap trick for cleaning old lime mortar off my tools
Been fighting with crusty mortar buildup on my trowels for months, tried vinegar and wire brushes, nothing worked. Then this old mason from Albany told me to soak them in plain cola overnight, I laughed but gave it a shot. That stuff dissolved the lime in about 12 hours, my trowel looks brand new for like $2 a bottle. Has anyone else got a weird cleaning hack that actually beats the fancy chemicals?
Gotta love that Grandma-approved chemistry, huh? Next you'll be telling me you strip paint with pickle juice. Lol, seriously though, that's a damn good tip.
