Finally tried the corner block method on a small garden wall

I always just stacked standard blocks and back-buttered everything, took me 3 tries to get a 6 foot wall straight. Swapped to corner blocks for the ends this weekend and the whole thing squared up in half the time. Has anyone else noticed that big a difference with just changing the start points?

Wait, did you use the corner blocks as actual corners or just to start the rows...?

Nah, man. Corner blocks are corners. Period. You gotta use them for what they're made for. I set them in first, lock the row into them. That's the whole point. If you just use them to start a row and then pull them out you're missing the boat. They stop the whole floor from shifting sideways. Use every single one, trust me.
