The old guy at the plant swap in Sacramento handed me a cutting and told me to ignore it
Went to a neighborhood plant swap last Saturday at a park in Sacramento. This man in his 70s, maybe 80, had a folding table with about 30 pothos cuttings in old yogurt cups. I picked one up and asked him how often to water it. He looked at me and said, "Don't fuss over it. Put it in a window and forget it for a week." Told me the plant he brought was a cutting from one his mom kept on their porch in the 1960s. I have been watering mine every other day like a nervous parent and it looks worse than his did. He was right and I hate it a little. How often are you all fussing with new cuttings before they just settle in?
