Showerthought: My grandma's garden felt like a whole other room in the house.

I remember my grandma's backyard was full of rose bushes and veggie patches we all pitched in on. These days, my own place has maybe three potted plants because life just moves too fast. It's kinda sad how we lost that shared green space, you know?

Actually, gardens can still be that shared space if we make time for them. My neighbor has a community plot where a few of us grow tomatoes together. It's not the same as a grandma's backyard, but it's something. Life moves fast, but maybe we just need to slow down a bit for the green stuff. Even small pots can feel like a room if you care for them.

Maybe find a plot like diana21's tomato thing.

Blair_webb30 has a point, it's about finding new ways to make that space. Feels like we traded big gardens for tiny convenience in a lot of areas, not just plants.
