Serious question, my spider plant had pale leaves and I was stumped

Some folks said it needed more fertilizer, but others thought it was getting too much light. I tried moving it to a darker spot first, but that made it worse. After looking online, I cut back on watering and it perked up in a week. Do you think overwatering is the main issue here or could it be something else like pot size?

Seriously, people act like spider plants are fragile babies. Mine survives on neglect and leftover coffee, and it's never had pale leaves. Overwatering might be a thing, but so is just having a finicky plant that wants attention. Cutting back water probably helped, but I bet it would have bounced back anyway.

Right? Some plants just thrive on chaos.

My spider plant looked so sad last month I almost gave it a funeral. I was watering it like crazy thinking I was being nice, but turns out I was just drowning the poor thing. Your fix makes total sense, these guys hate wet feet more than I hate soggy socks. Pot size could mess with drainage too, but you nailed the main culprit.
