PSA: My spider plant almost died because I kept moving it around the house

3 weeks ago I put my spider plant on the kitchen counter for better light, then moved it to the bedroom 2 days later, then the living room after that. Turns out spider plants hate being moved and it dropped like 10 leaves in a week. Anyone else kill a plant by being too helpful with its spot?

@fiona332 nailed it. Plants are basically cats with leaves.

Moving plants around is a trap I fell for with my peace lily. Thought it wanted more bright light in the bathroom window, then it got all droopy so I stuck it in the dark corner of the bedroom for a week. That thing went from happy and blooming to yellow and sad faster than I could say "oops." My mother in law said they're like cats, they pick a spot and get grumpy if you mess with it. Now I just leave everything where it lands and pray it works out.
