My sister called my plant collection 'just green decor' and it kinda stung
We were at my place yesterday and she pointed at my fiddle leaf fig and said, 'It's nice, but it's basically a living lamp, right?' I've got over 40 plants, each one I picked for a reason, not just to fill a corner. It made me realize some folks see plants as just stuff, not the living things we're caring for. Has anyone else had a friend or family member totally not get why you're into this?

Honestly, my mom said the same thing. I just showed her how I track their water and light, and she sort of got it then.

My friend's dad called his plants a waste of time until he saw the spreadsheet, just like @rileyjones. He asked for a copy the next day.
