Heard a gardener at the park say plants feel stress too

Does that mean my ficus knows when I'm crying over lost leaves, or is that just me projecting?

Wonder what @wesleyburns cat was saying to that fern, plants probably pick up on way more than we give them credit for. Honestly feels like everything in my house has this weird energy connection now - my snake plant went droopy when my neighbor started a lawn war with me over some fallen branches. Maybe all living things just react to the chaos around them, even if they cant talk back about it.
