Appreciation post: my plant ID habit went from 40 guesses a day to about 2
Three summers back I was snapping pics of every leaf in my Louisville neighborhood and guessing wild, and my phone gallery had 1,200 mystery shots by August. Now I carry a little 10x jeweler's loupe in my pocket and check leaf arrangement and stem hairs right there on the sidewalk, which takes 30 seconds and usually settles it. Does anyone else keep a loupe on them, or am I the weird guy squinting at weeds in front of strangers?
