Update: Bone folder edge caught me by surprise after 5 years of binding

I've been rounding the spine with the flat side of my bone folder forever, but last week I flipped it and used the tapered edge on a tight French curve joint. It left this clean crease line I couldn't get before, no extra pressure needed. Has anyone else messed around with using the pointed end for headcaps, or am I late to this too?

Wait, are you sure you meant the tapered edge and not the rounded tip for headcaps? I've found the pointed tip is way too sharp for any kind of headcap work, it just digs in and leaves a ridge you have to sand out.
