My mentor insisted on using PVA glue for everything, but my leather cover project in Phoenix proved him wrong.

The desert heat made it brittle and crack after six months, so I had to switch to a flexible animal hide glue. Anyone have a favorite brand for hot climates?

My friend's bookbinding fell apart in Tucson, so he swears by Titebond now.

But what if the glue wasn't the problem? Tucson's dry heat can wreck materials. Maybe the paper or binding cloth was cheap and gave out first. A different glue might just fail the same way later. Has your friend tried the exact same project in a humid place to compare?
