Changed my mind about those fancy bookbinding kits on Etsy
Picked up a $90 kit from a seller in Portland and the glue was basically school paste. Ended up having to rebuy proper PVA and linen thread separately, so I lost about $40 on that whole deal because the stitching came out loose too. Anyone else just buy their materials separately now?

The first book I bound with that kit came out looking like a sad origami project that got left in the rain. My stitching looked like a toddler tried to sew a button on a sock. Sold my soul for some decent thread and a bone folder from a real supplier and now the books at least stand up straight even if the spines are slightly crooked.
