An old timer at the shop made me rethink my glue pot
Ran into a retired binder named Carl at the craft supply store off 82nd Ave. He saw me grabbing a fresh jar of PVA and laughed, said I was wasting money on the expensive stuff when a basic wheat paste does the job better for most rebinds. That got me thinking about how I've leaned on modern adhesives for years without really testing the old ways. Has anyone else tried going back to traditional paste and noticed a difference in how the spine flexes?
