Vent: my book club picks went from 4 books a month to one slow read and I blame the group chat
Two years ago I was tearing through four books a month on my own, just grabbing whatever looked good at the library in Fresno and finishing most of them in a few days. Then our club grew to 11 people and every pick turned into a 45 minute debate about whether it was worth it, so now I read one book slow and actually take notes before we meet at the diner on Tuesdays. Is picking a slower pace for a club actually better for discussion, or did I just get lazy?
