Our group's vote on the next book totally fell apart last night
We were supposed to pick between a long sci-fi novel and a short story collection. I mean, we had a simple show of hands planned. But then someone brought up a third option right before the vote, and it just split everyone. It took over an hour of arguing before we gave up and decided to take a week off. Has your club ever had a vote go completely sideways like that?

It's funny how the simplest plans can blow up when someone adds a new choice. I see this happen all the time with friends trying to pick a movie or where to eat. Too many options just make people dig in and argue. What did the third option end up being, anyway?

Oh please. More options are exactly what people need. You ever been stuck with the same greasy pizza place five Fridays in a row because nobody dared suggest anything else? Sushi was a game changer. Sure, it caused a little friction, but that's how you figure out what your friends actually like. My group had this same thing happen with board games. Someone threw out Dungeons and Dragons and half the group freaked out. Now we play it every other week and the other nights feel stale in comparison.

Tell me about it. Happened last week with pizza. Someone threw out sushi. Total chaos.
