I used to pick our book club books by myself, but a vote changed everything
For a whole year, I just chose the next book for my group in Chicago, thinking it was easier. Then, last month, two people flat out said they wouldn't read my pick. So now we do a simple vote with three options I find. It's way less drama and people actually read. How does your group decide what to read next?

Chicago sounds tough, how did you find those three options before the vote?

Funny how a simple vote can smooth things over. My old hiking group had a similar power struggle about picking trails, where one guy always chose brutal climbs. Started offering three options like you, and suddenly everyone showed up. Takes the pressure off one person to be the bad guy.

Feels like a whole lot of drama over some books honestly. Is it that serious if two people don't want to read your pick?
