I think audiobooks are BETTER than print for book club discussions

Everyone in my group loves physical books, but after we listened to "Project Hail Mary" on audiobook last month, our debate was way more lively. The narration added so much emotion to the scenes that we had actual arguments about character motivations for 45 minutes. Has anyone else found audio brings out stronger reactions in your group?

Wait, so you're telling me the guy voicing a 4-armed spider alien adds to the discussion? For real though, our group had the same thing happen with World War Z on audio. We spent a whole hour arguing if the zombie outbreak could actually happen just because the narrators sounded so convinced. Print never gets us that fired up.

Yeah, voice adds a whole other layer to stories.
