Changed my mind about our book club's pick after a trip to the library
We're reading 'The Overstory' this month, and I was really against it at first. I thought a book about trees would be boring. But then I went to the downtown library on Saturday. They have this old reading room with a big window that looks right into a huge oak tree. I sat there for an hour, just looking at the branches and leaves while I read. The way the light came through changed how I saw the pages. I started noticing all the small details the author writes about bark and roots. It made the whole story feel different, more real. I guess you need the right setting for some books. Has anyone else had a place change how they felt about what they were reading?

So did you finish it there, or take it home?

Honestly, this is the modern version of "for here or to go." We've just swapped coffee cups for unfinished tasks. The real answer is usually "both, and it was a mess.

Oh man, @grantl94, you know how it goes. I tried to wrap it up at my desk, but my brain was fried. So it came home in my bag, sat on the kitchen table all night, and I finished it this morning with my cereal.
