@paige514 nailed it honestly. A good narrator makes all the difference when you're stuck in traffic for hours. Mine was a crime novel and by the time I hit the Ohio border I was ready to drive to Chicago just to keep listening lol.

I totally get the "changed my mind" thing. For me, it was a long drive to visit family in Ohio where I finally gave in and tried a thriller. The narrator's voice made the boring highway miles fly by, honestly. Did you find a specific genre that clicked for you on that Cleveland trip?
