Switched to a new high-temp sealant on a pressure vessel and it failed in under a week

Used 'Thermo-Lock 9000' on a 450 psi steam drum at the Miller plant, thinking the specs looked solid. It cracked and weeped at the seams after just four days of normal operation. What's your go-to sealant for high-pressure, high-heat joints now?

Thermo-Lock 9000 is junk, we had the same thing happen on a boiler last year. Switched to Permatex Ultra Copper and it's been solid for months now.

My old Foreman swore by Permatex for years, never had a single leak.
