I thought that new Milwaukee cordless pipe threader was just overpriced hype.
My foreman insisted we try one on a job at the old paper mill in Kalamazoo last week. It cut perfect threads on 2-inch schedule 80 in under a minute, no hoses or compressor. I've been lugging that old Rigid machine for 15 years. Anyone else made the switch and found it actually holds up on heavy pipe?

Yeah, "lugging that old Rigid machine" hits home. We finally got one for the crew doing a boiler room retrofit and it's a total game changer. No more fighting with air lines just makes the whole job smoother.

My buddy Nate was working on a water main repair in Grand Rapids last winter. They had to thread a bunch of 3-inch black iron in a muddy trench. He said the Milwaukee just sat in the slop, didn't care about the cold, and ran all day. His old air machine would have been a total nightmare in those conditions. He's not a brand guy at all, but he said it saved their butts.
