Hit 1,000 hours on my Miller 211 yesterday and it hit me
I've been welding pipe for 6 years now and never really tracked my time, but I had to replace a drive roll and noticed my machine's hour meter reading 1,000 even. It felt like a milestone I didn't expect to care about until I saw it right there. Anyone else keep an eye on their welder hours or just let them pile up?

Did that 1000 come from one machine or spread across a few?

Machine stuff always gets complicated once you start tracking numbers like that. Had a buddy who ran a print shop, swore by keeping everything on one machine until it went down and took three days with it. @the_jason probably knows better than most that the real answer depends more on backups and downtime than the actual count.
