Four days of rain turned a simple liner job into a mud pit

Last Tuesday we were swapping out a worn lining on a tank near Gary, 30 foot tall, and the weather went sideways. Water got into the workspace before we even pulled the first plate, so every weld we tried was fighting moisture and spatter. Anyone else deal with this much cleanup on a wet job, or do you just wait it out and lose the schedule?
