Appreciation post: The senior guy who pointed out my torch angle on a 3G weld after 4 years

Was laying a root pass on a tank shell in Gary last month and old Mike just taps my hood and says "you're pushing it 15 degrees too steep," fixed my angle and the puddle control changed instantly. Any of you have a moment where one tiny tweak from a vet made you feel like a rookie?

Read in a welding forum that a 5 degree angle change saved a guy's whole career.

Buddy of mine tried it on his TIG setup. Said it fixed his wrist pain in like two weeks.

Eh, a 5 degree tilt seems like a stretch to me.
