Wasted $80 on a kickstarter board game that never shipped

I backed this game called "Dungeon Depths" back in March 2022 on Kickstarter. Looked so cool with the minis and custom dice. They kept sending updates about delays and then just went silent 8 months ago. I finally checked the comments and it's full of people saying the creator took the money and ran. Anyone else get burned by a Kickstarter board game before?

Ain't that the truth though? You ever notice how people throw money at the promise of something cool, but the reality never quite matches up? It's like that pop-up restaurant everyone was hyped about downtown last summer... talked up all this fancy menu stuff, then couldn't even keep the fryer running right. Or those meal kit subscriptions where the recipes look amazing in photos but half the time the ingredients are wilted or missing. People just get caught up in the dream of what could be, and they forget to check if the people behind it have any idea what they're doing.
